About Us
Sweet Adelines International is a non-profit international women's organization with over 650 choruses worldwide.  Song O' Sky Chorus was founded in 1974.

Song O' Sky Chorus is dedicated to teaching and promoting the singing of a cappella, four-part harmony, barbershop style, which is part of our musical heritage.  The barbershop style began with ad lib harmonizing in minstrel shows in the 1800's, and eventually developed into a complex, technically precise and challenging musical medium.  It strives to perfect the balance and harmony of four well-matched voice parts (tenor, lead, baritone, and bass) into a full, rich, and exciting sound that has been known to cause goose bumps on those who listen!  This style of singing can enhance any song, whether it's a Broadway show tune, a patriotic song, jazz or blues, favorite pop song, or romantic ballad.

Song O' Sky usually presents an annual show, complete with costumes and choreography.  We also accept paid singing engagements for a wide variety of group events, large and small, private and public.  A select number of free performances for community service are also presented each year.  If you are interested in booking a show for your group, please click on the Book a Show link.

The chorus also offers its members unique and wide ranging opportunities for education and experience in other  areas such as directing, music arranging, show production, administration, and leadership skills.  If you are interested in joining the chorus, click the How to Join link.  Guests are welcome at any rehearsal.  (PLEASE NOTE:  Rehearsals are a FRAGRANCE-FREE zone!)
